Seriously, this week should be the International Fansub Holiday week because of Comiket happening. The bad thing here… Is that 90% of our staff also helps run the #Comiket channel biannually here on Rizon, but after a lot of shuffling duties around, we’re chugging along smoothly.

Hi there. As you can see, we finally (pick one:)

and managed to release the first episode of Pantsu Witches 2. We were hoping to be able to get this to you guys weeks ago, but shit decided to happen and we ended up going through encoders like Hartmann does pantsu.
Anyway… We’re going to be releasing this in both 720p and 480p H.264 .mkv format. And before you ask, no, we’re not going to be doing anything in XviD .avi format. I have a Pentium III 800MHz desktop that can play 480p H.264 .mkv’s just fine with CCCP and the video doesn’t lag at all. So none of you have any excuses.
Oh, and while on the subject of .mkv, there seems to be some mis-communication about hardsubbing versus softsubbing. We are softsubbing everything except what would not look good typesetting-wise softsubbed. This means that the only things in this episode that AREN’T softsubbed are the logo and the group credits during the OP, contrary to what anybody else might say. And while we’re on that subject…
DORAMA SUCKS BIG HUEG DONKEY DICK.
Therefore we refuse to participate in it. If other people wanna perpetuate dorama, they can just go for it. Guess what, people, we do this because we actually think it’s FUN. We also like to bring a good quality fansub to you guys. If it ceases to become fun, it gets to be more like a job (and one we aren’t even getting paid for). Dorama causes things NOT to be fun, therefore we don’t do dorama. Evidently some people like dorama and that’s all fine and good, but nobody in Strike-Subs really does, so we don’t utilise people who are going to cause needless dorama. We know you came here for this:
and not for dorama, so that’s all we’re gonna say about it.

So we did a v2 (Sigh…) anyway, if you already have the 1st version, just download the v2 xdelta patch and unzip the contents to the same directory that has the original video file and follow the readme.txt (LINUX users, hopefully you know how to use a .sh file… If you don’t, you might wanna reconsider using LINUX)

Oh, right. Yeah… We ARE doing Strike Witches Season 2!
We’ve got everything ready to go for episode 1, and we’re waiting for our encoder to get back. Then, it’ll be out quite quickly then.
(So… stop asking… Please?)

Piroko is super lazy and somewhat MIA so I’m making today’s post that really should have been posted over a month ago.
SORAKAKE TV IS DROPPED.
The encoder is in a goddamn coma, the group leader is slack, the translator won’t do anything more until what’s in queue is released, only Nojiko is actually doing what he’s supposed to. We have had the bluray eps of sorakake sitting in standby for a while now, waiting for Volume 5 to come out with the creditless OP/ED. It came out yesterday so if we can find some new staff then shit can get moving again and we can possibly have a batch release of eps 1-12 on BD out, possibly 13-14 as well. The series will keep going with BD rips, probably 3 episodes a month.
We need some new staff though. Since our little XyFreak fiasco, nothing has really happened seeing as we lack an additional encoder, along with a timer and typesetter. If you can time, typeset, or encode and aren’t complete shit at it, then message Emess in #Strike-Subs on Rizon. We’re looking at doing something new next season so this would be really handy, along with a timer/typesetter for finishing Sorakake.
On the SW front, episode 11 is ready for release, and 12 STILL needs an encode as I mention earlier, the encoder is in a warzone and currently incapacitated.
